Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job
What is the primary purpose of this job? Describe the 5-6 main objectives of the job and the approximate % of time spent performing each objective.
1. Reduce products return rate due to manufacturing quality-25%
2. Handle customer complains timely-25%
3. Establish and maintain effective company's quality procedures, standards and specifications-20%
4. Control cost of quality management process, including labor & OT, consumables, equipment calibration, etc-10%
5. Deliver OTIF%-10%
6. Develop and maintain QC team skill and capability-10%
Responsibilities
Describe the responsibilities as clearly as possible. Which tasks is the job holder responsible for and in what way? What results are to be achieved?
1. Comply with all safety rules and actively promote job safety and waste minimization in QC lab. Must ensure that work is performed safely within company and government guidelines.
2. Be responsible to maintain and improve quality management system; organize internal and external quality system audits; track action plans to correct findings.
3. Ensure QC yearly Quality Objectives carried out and achieved. These objectives require QC work in cooperation with other function departments, such as production, CS, purchasing, warehouse and R&D lab.
4. Organize customer complaint review meeting, evaluate feasibility of preventive and corrective action and track their implementation, analyze customer complaints regularly.
5. Be a leader on investigation of customer complaint or defective batches. Provide test or investigation report to relative departments for corrective or preventative actions.
6. Be actively involved in site risk inventory work off program, especially on color products, to support technical with pilot shading, historical data analyzing, and action plans.
7. Actively lead site formula feedback program by collecting process and QC data, sending formula improvement request to technical once analyzed and verified in QC.
8. Lead the site equipment calibration program and ensure ISO standards or local regulations met.
9. Schedule work and direct activities of subordinates and ensure that subordinates are on the job as required and scheduled.
10. Lead QC training program by setting up and carry out yearly training plan; in addition, providing quality related training to other department.
11. Be actively responsible for QC employees development, including performance review, recommending promotion, transfer, discipline of subordinates, etc.
12. Be responsible for the quality of incoming RM, and a leader on investigation of RM quality issue
13. Other responsibilities as assigned by line Manager
Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.Delegation of current HSE&S responsibilities and tasks are attached to the job description in a separate document. This is normally only applicable for managerial jobs
Level of Autonomy
What decisions may the job holder make without first seeking approval from higher manager/supervisor?
1. People performance evaluation
2. OT control and monthly incentive bonus

Job Requirements
Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills.
1. Bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience
2. Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ working experience in QC management area.
3. 3 years above experience as QC manager
4. Extensive experience of establishing quality control system and good knowledge on ISO system
5. Good communication skills and good English application skills
