Context/Scope

Diageo Greater China is one of the most critical important markets to the Diageo Group, having been identified as crucial growth market. An aggressive strategy is being pursued, which involves broadening the brand portfolio over the next few years and significantly increasing market share and presence. A&P investment is targeted to increase considerably to support this stretching growth plan. At the same time, Diageo Greater China is also an important market for global Emerging Market Sourcing.
Procurement is seen as a source of value creation, assurance and protection through fully leveraging Diageo’s scale, applying market and supply base knowledge and by exploiting the suppliers’ capabilities in the commercial, marketing and supply chain activities.


Top Accountabilities
Provide effective procurement support for Diageo China Ltd. ( DCL)/Diageo Shanghai Ltd. (DSL)
Negotiate value in terms of savings, cost avoidances and total value-add.
Carry out robust market research to identify trends and potential sources.
Maximize long term commercial advantage in terms of creativity, quality, supply, cost and added value to DCL/DSL
Manage effective supplier relationships delivering maximum value and service to DCL/DSL.
Service to include all aspects of a procurement event – on time delivery, manage quality issues from a relationship perspective (not to perform quality function role).
For selected priority suppliers, support the supplier and component qualification processes.
Manage compliance and governance issues from a procurement perspective.
Work SFRM, CCS and CARM agendas in accordance with regional procurement strategies and requirements.
Ensure compliance to procurement policy and procedures.
Ensure tight focus on effective and efficient PtP process from procurement perspective.
Collate and review supplier performance data and lead local supplier performance improvement activity with key stakeholders.
Provide supplier performance data to procurement and local stakeholder management on a regular basis and escalate as required.
Support and promote regional procurement agenda within DCL/DSL
Communicate with global and regional procurement to share learning
Support the development and implementation of global and regional strategies and programmes to ensure Diageo spend is being fully leveraged
Ensure best practice and processes are adapted and core capabilities are achieved

Qualifications and Experience Required

Qualifications
? University Degree
? Fluent in Mandarin & English
? Good analytical skills
? Well developed project management skills
? Understands economic, cultural and market environments
? Sound knowledge of legal, contractual frameworks
? Generates and sustains effective working relationships with a diverse range of people.
? Strong negotiation skills

Experience
? 2-4 years broad and deep international commercial experience
? Career in a Multinational Company environment
? Knowledge of Supply/Indirect categories in China, knowledge of marketing related categories is a plus.
? Experience of independent sourcing projects in related categories, experience of independent sourcing project in marketing related categories is a plus. 举报 分享
