Job Title:DTV/STB Software Development Engineer

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for developing ATSC/DVB stack, GUI, middleware, multimedia, low level drivers and diagnostic utilities, and also participating resolving system level issues.
The Candidate will be working closely with team members from different locations on project development and customer support.

Description
1. You will be a team member of senior engineers working directly with end customers to build production digital TV/STB systems.
2. You will be the communication window between customers and baseline development teams in Shanghai and Santa Clara;
3. You will be the developers of ATSC, GUI, middleware, low lever drivers, boot loader, Linux drivers for DTV/STB software systems.
4. You will work with your staff and company customers to ensure that customer requirements are well defined.
5. You will be engaged in the design of products to meet customer requirements;
6. You will join the development of advanced, cutting edge DTV/STB technologies;
7. You will be expected to travel to customer sites in China/ASIA as well as some international travels to USA.

Qualifications:
The candidates meet multiple items as below will be preferred:
1. A Bachelor degree or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
2. Good written and oral communications skills in English and Chinese
3. 2+ years experience of embedded software programming with C/C++
4. Experienced with supporting customers.
5. Direct experience with some of the following:
? Board support drivers (I2C, Ethernet, SATA, USB, SD/MMC, Wifi/BT etc)
? Analog and digital video drivers (MPEG2, MPEG4, Analog video encoder/decoders)
? Analog and digital audio drivers
? MPEG transport layer
? Embedded operating systems (Linux, WinCE, VxWorks, Nucleus etc)
? Set top box middleware environments (PowerTV, OpenTV, MSTV, DirectTV etc)
? Analog/Digital Tuner/Demod performance
? Knowledgeable of TV input/output sources like HDMI, VGA, YPbPr, CVBS, SCART etc
? Knowledgeable of picture quality tuning, audio, video post-processing
6.Knowledgeable of digital TV broadcast standards such as ATSC, DVB;
7.Knowledgeable of Android based GUI or application development;
8.Experienced in HDTV, STB and MPEG is preferred;
9.General knowledge of hardware, ARM architecture is preferred;
