RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position is accountable for implementing engineering and technical support, management and control for existing project, project appraisal conduct and leading the various plans of project practice of new project to exceed customer expectations for product development, quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency.

TEAM STRUCTURE:

The Job holder reports to Engineering Manager of Stereo, works with Project Coordinator

Combined efforts with various department employees.

NATURE OF WORK AND JOB SCALE:

Major Functions:

Overall responsibility and accountability for engineering function includes technical support, project management and control.

Challenges:

? Create BOM and strike a balance between cost saving and project quality
? Complete projects within the time frame


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:

? Taking charge of the project management, work closely with internal teams to deliver project schedule; budget control and cost planning etc.
? Participating in the confirmation of new products ID and structure design for 4views wireless reversing camera products for the USA and UK markets.
? Ensure that up to date drawings are maintained appropriately
? Responsible for function testing with the factory, then work with manufactures for development and production.
? Arranging BOM for new products and costing of products to do cost analysis before project begins.
? Developing products with factories and make sure everything is as per specification and dimensions and function is all within standards, highlighting special areas and details to check.
? Confirming certification marks of products
? Working on product software de bugging before production.
? Working with USA test engineers and be responsible for final confirmation.
? Solve technical problems with internal teams / vendors
? Ensure any new equipment or engineering activity is supported with appropriate qualification documentation and that this is appropriately stored.
? Coordinate with venders to ensure manufacturability of product while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and achieving cost targets in a timely fashion
? Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution
? Report on engineering activities regularly to the Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The position needs to work in Dongguan office. Those candidates coming from Hong Kong must station in Dongguan office for 5-day a week.

Frequent business trips are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Educated to college or above in a relevant electronic engineering discipline or equivalent
? 5 years and above working experience in automotive electronics;
? 3 years or above reversing cameras, wireless cameras and related product technical experience;
? Able to organize new product project planning independently;
? Ability to add value, reduce costs and make product improvements
? Familiar with US & European market and safety requirements
? Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
? Good problem solving, project management skills
? Good command of English and Mandarin
? Proficiency in Pro/e, good computer skills and use MS Office and Microsoft Project well;
? Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
