Job Description:
Responsible to provide first line quality support to strategic customers in China. This includes on-site response to customer complaints working with customer engineering and quality teams to gain full understanding of the complaint and to coordinate and drive 8D response activities internally and provide the necessary communication to the customers such that they are fully informed at all time.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating the completion of Customer Information Requests (CIR) timely which may involve extensive data gathering and research.
2. Coordinating periodic customer audits of internal and subcontractor facilities including travelling to such sites with customers.
3. Tracking quality metrics related to quality objects in customer quality scorecards including driving continuous improvement actions to achieve and maintain A grade on customer report cards.
4. Gathering the details of customer quality complains. Obtain and drive 8D response activities and provide the necessary communications to customer.
5. Co-work with local FAE/AE for on-site support to identify the quality problems in customer side.
6. Providing general reports (Weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) to customer per request.
7. Arrange routine customer on-site visits.
8. May be assigned to other CQE tasks as required.
Qualification Requirements
1. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Physics, Material Science, Mechanical engineering or Electrical Engineering)
2. Solid Knowledge of product engineering fundamentals with an emphasis on electro-optical components (TIA, Photodiodes, APD, etc) and electro-optical sub-assemblies (eg. ROSA, TOSA and optical modules)
3. Must have work experience no less than 5 years in the field of semiconductor assembly or sub-assemblies of electro-optical, packaging engineering
4. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral)
5. Excellent organization skill
6. Strong PC Skills – Word Doc, Spreadsheets, Power Point Presentations
7. May be required to travel 10% of the time as required
