GENERAL PURPOSE

To quickly provide the continuous price feasibility support on manufacturability, check and control the level of suppliers cost; Collect the raw material cost change trend, evaluate the product price's changes.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES

· Estimate the product cost on manufacturability review, provide the cost breakdown to US R&D engineers and manufacturing engineer for studying cost.

· Check the estimated cost from factory, and figure out the reasonable parts.

· Revise the estimated cost according to design changes.

· Check the quotation of suppliers and offer the technical comments to buyer for price negotiation.

· Collect raw material price, analyze the coming material price trend, make the raw material monthly report.

· Watch the changes of local policies and regulations, evaluate the impact on products' price.

· Evaluate and suggest the price variance ratio in the new coming year, and re-run the existing top 30~50 items' cost breakdown for reference in negotiation.

· Sourcing supporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· Strong mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience.

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles

· Ability to lead a team work

· Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.

· Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs

· Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering with a minimum of three (3) years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experience for mechanical products, familiar with manufacture process about stamping, die-cast, plastic, machining, polishing and painting.
• Good writing and oral in English.

· 3D CAD work experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· General office environment

· Regular workshop/distribution center environment (no air conditioning)

· May require regular ground travel to vendor factories.
