This is a critical role within the QuickLogic China Team with responsibility for the development and support of device drivers for Android, Linux, and other embedded systems in handheld consumer or electronic products.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

? Device driver system integration support and development for Android, Linux and other embedded systems
? Device driver porting to potential new operating systems such as Windows 8
? Device drivers or firmware programming and debugging in an embedded real-time environment
? On-site support to customer side for co-working and debugging in China
? Communication and Collaboration with Software Architects and Developers in QuickLogic Headquarters and Satellite Engineering offices

Well-developed, strong communication, influencing and self-management skills are required as the role holder works closely in terms of co-ordination and functional integration with various groups located in multiple sites and geographies. Key partners include Sales, Marketing and worldwide System Solutions Group.

Qualifications

Education

? BSc in Electronic Engineering or Equivalent

Required:

? Understanding of embedded device drivers and development methodology of drivers for various operating systems (immediate focus on Android and Linux, future growth to Windows 8) and mobile applications processors (e.g. Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek, Texas Instruments OMAP, nVIDIA Tegra, Freescale i.MX, etc)
? Knowledge and understanding of protocol of various interfaces commonly used in mobile products
(MIPI DSI, LVDS, I2C, SPI, SDIO, etc.), specifically supporting drivers for these interfaces in Android and Linux
? Experience in developing application software for embedded systems
? Strong knowledge and experience in programming & scripting languages such as C, C++, assembly
? Strong system debugging background, e.g. ability to work with common lab tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
? Ability to read electrical schematics and debug PCBs
? Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form

Desirable:

? Prior experience working with multi-site, multi-cultural teams
