Battery and Charger supplier Quality Manager
Position Summary and Role Description
TQMC is a German consulting company and is responsible for planning and executing hardware qualification activities during the design and development phase of new mobile phones, business/data devices and accessories. Moreover the activities include the verification of the product quality during ramp up and mass production. This includes joining e.g. mechanical and endurance testing with vendors, to investigate the quality parameters and to ensure the reliability of the test results.
In this position you will work for a world leading mobile communication operator which has a history of developing and offering wireless services, products and applications. The one of the largest operators is prominent in many markets all over the world with more than 200 million customers. This operator is looking for contractors who can monitor the hardware and process quality of ODM products, mainly batteries and charger / power supplies which are developed and manufactured in China.
TQMC is looking for full time quality managers which will be based in Shenzhen to support the local activities.
Qualification
Good English (verbal and written) is mandatory!
Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics (electrical, telecommunication, mobile phone industry) or electrochemical engineering or at battery / charger manufacturer or equivalent industry
Knowledge of battery technologies (Li-Ion) and fundamental experience with battery production processes on cell and pack level
Familiar with international product quality standards and parameters as well as root cause analysis of possible failures and improvement plans (8D, CIP etc.)
Experience in auditing complex processes incl. APQP and PPAP experience will be preferred
Basic knowledge of charger and power supply technology
Strong and efficient communication as well as negotiation and leadership skills
Capable to influence supplier upper management and guide supplier improvements at all levels of the supplier organisation
Willingness to travel (mainly in China)
Desirable, but not essential: 6 Sigma certified green or black belt
