Advanced Specialist Planning Machining (FM Engineer)

Corporate Division Power Train
Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

To design, specify and deliver engine manufacturing processes & equipment ensuring the agreed project targets are achieved. To maintain & improve engine manufacturing processes ensuring the appropriate business targets are achieved

Key Responsibility

• Manufacturing process concepts and strategies


• Machine and Equipment design, modification & specifications. Development of robust manufacturing processes to deliver project targets


• Departmental/Project budget requirements and spend


• Project development and team organization. Lead and participate in cross-functional working teams 3 -5 people


• Target development and implementation


• Process and equipment development and modification. Contractor/Supplier selection


• Problem solving solutions. Escalation issues


• Financial versus technical evaluations. Create proposals for the approval of necessary funding


• Management of Machine and Equipment suppliers


• Modification of Drawings for Parts Touching machining parts upon maintenance optimization


• Incoming Check of supplier documentation,


• Measurement Plan: Update measurement plan when the process is changed/optimized


• Tool Plan: Update Tool Drawings when the process is changed/optimized


• Stage Drawings, Part Changes


• Coordinate Part Changes from the network


• Feasibility studies in case of product changes and identification of change demand on equipment

Qualification

• University degree / graduated in engineering (automotive/engine)


• Proven ability in machining, assembly or test processes


• Experience of high volume manufacturing processes preferably within the automotive industry


• Project management skills


• Highly developed communication skills


• Team and individual development, management and leadership


• Knowledge of process control techniques and gauging methods


• Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility


• Application of industrial engineering techniques, Statistical process control, Jig and tool design


• English and German language skills


• Knowledge of BMW and BMW Brilliance Automotive China business processes , 1-3 years


• Experience in project management, 4-6 years
