BMW Group Global Leader Development Programme Associate

Corporate Division Corporate HR & Strategy

Division, located in Shenyang/China

Employment – full time

Tasks

• The Global Leader Development Programme (GLDP) is the BMW Group’s acclaimed international graduate programme offering the opportunity to jumpstart the career of talented graduates and young professionals
• Through completing four different rotations, participants work in various parts of the company and complete two international assignments, one is at BMW Headquarters in Munich
• During their assignments, participants gain insight into business processes, strategy, culture, and the BMW Group brands from both a local and global perspective

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the functions of Grading and C&B Strategy, and prepare insights to seek continuous improvement opportunities and drive more synergies
• Structure the shared folder framework on C&B Strategy, and build up clear connections with C&B operation teams in Shenyang and Beijing
• Work on feasibility study and proposal of building up additional FG between FLV and FGG6, to enlarge the development steps of NP associates, based on new normal situation
• Work together with COC Grading Leader and C&B team on building up production associates voluntary attrition rate corridor, together with modeling on cost efficiency
• Make analysis about people cost between correlation of FG and PG, including on promotion rate; prepare analysis on career development, associate engagement, personnel cost balance, for the situation when the organization is getting more stable
• Set up modeling on people cost efficiency, comparing with sales volume, production volume, etc. by checking out practices in BMW AG and other markets
• Understand the practice of C&B practice from BMW AG and other markets, and seek implications for BMW Brilliance Automotive; provide inputs for long term development of C&B Strategy function to match the business growth situation
• Understanding the business of for BMW Brilliance Automotive and BMW AG, and get prepared for building up the foundation on business knowledge which are necessary for this role
• Support the Grading and C&B team on other topics as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with excellent grades (Master’s degree preferred)
• Business-fluent language skills in the local language
• Fluent English (as well as knowledge of another language if English is the native language, preferably German)
• A sharp intellect
• Passion for BMW
• Initiative, personal accountability, willingness to change, team spirit, and self-reflection
• Readiness for an international career
• At least six months of relevant work experience (e.g. internships, training, initial professional experience)
• A maximum of 2-3 years professional working experience
• At least four months of relevant experience abroad (e.g. studies, practical experience, work)
• Extracurricular involvement (e.g. initial leadership experience in a university, community, or work setting, engagement in a student project, political or charity organization)
