Main Purpose
The main objective of the Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) is to proactively develop and continuously control the performance of potential and existing suppliers. He/she implements relevant strategies, rules and targets as defined in the yearly strategic plan (AOP) in such a way that the business and commodity objectives are met. He / she develops and coordinates supplier quality resources. This quality professional drives the early involvement of suppliers in new product development and product/component improvement. The SQM is the linking pin to the commodity team on supplier quality aspects.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
· Daily material issue management
· Responsible for weekly supplier quality issue summary
· Managing supplier quality by driving improvement using incoming rejects and line rejects
· Capable to handle supplier quality cases independently.
· Willing to travel for supplier audit and on-site support
· Assist NPI team for new product material issue following up.
· Implement inspector training
· Assist quality manager to establish and implement BMS
· Problem solving by 8D approach
· Identify required actions and resources to make improvements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education and experience
• Bachelor or master degree in a technical area.
• Over 8 yrs. work experience in industrial, multi-cultural environments, including 3yrs SQE Experience.
• Familiar with Quality tools (e.g. APQP, PPAP, D and P-FMEA, MSA, control plans)
• Experience with modern engineering methods, tools and processes including statistical analyses of data (Cpk, DoE, SPC, regression etc.).
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g. auditing, ISO and QS9000).
• Structured way of working and reporting.
• Fluent in English

• Strategic as well as “hands on” mindset with preferable experience in change management;
• Analytical, creative and abstract thinker (ability to break down problems, systematically identify causes and develop solutions).
• Comfortable with managing diverse teams, who can develop a performance-oriented team and build a strong bench of talent;
• Disciplined team worker but also able to work independent.
