Responsibility:
- Familiar with the market attributes and understand Client’s requirements. Maintain effective and close relationship with Clients.
-Work with Merchandising team to source new potential vendors that suit the client’s product needs. Cooperation with Merchandising team with Factory Assessment
-Supervise and guide the Technical team so product development progress is implemented effectively.
-Assist Merchandising team for Technical issues and costing associated issue.
-Maintain effective supervision on daily operation of technical team. Set goals and organize subordinates to accomplish them on time.
-Develop subordinates to reach a higher potential and recognize their ability and strength.
-Provide training to associates in furniture knowledge and production techniques
-Staff education - Monitor and review performance of Technician, educate and make guidance.
-Maintain updated Technical Evaluation of the factories
-Educate and update vendors on company policies like technical evaluation and buyer’s individual requirement so as to ensure good working procedures while satisfying customer’s needs.
-Settle disputes between Clients and vendors on Technical issue claims while keeping their good business relationship.
-Identify current problems, foresee pitfalls and advise proactive resolution to subordinates to maintain smooth workflow.
-Coordinate with other departments like Merchandising and Quality Assurance to ensure smooth workflow.
-Complete reasonable ad hoc tasks requested by superiors.
-Cost and time control of Technical team for effective and efficient operation
Qualification requirements:
-At least 12 years’ related working experience in Furniture with 5 years’ experience in a managerial position. Previous exposure in manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
-Familiar with international quality standards and requirements of US & UK clients in Furniture.
-Strong technical knowledge in Furniture products.
-Good command of English and Mandarin.
-Strong communication skills and have the ability to interact with others like vendors, factories, clients and merchandising teams.
