Sr. Manufacturing Test Development Engineer-Software
Location: Shanghai, China

Provide software expertise to support SONOS PCBA and System level manufacturing testing development, and also other areas in manufacturing may need software support, e.g. Process automation, Data analyzing.
Below are details about the skills and experience needed for this challenging and highly visible position:
A Day in the Life
? Work with PD-MFG test team to Design, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing test solutions for Sonos products.
? Work as main interface of Manufacturing Engineering to PD MFG test team on transforming manufacturing test software platform to LabVIEW. To do joint-development of LabVIEW with PD team, coordinate local engineering resources to support the transforming.
? Maintain existing Perl Scripts based testing software—to work with CM partner, Product Development, Product Operations, and/or Quality teams to resolve any issues related to existing Perl based test software.
? Developing tools and automation to allow Manufacturing Engineering team to operate more efficiently and scale as the business grows.
? Provide required test software support of build Manufacturing Platform—Process automation, test station integration, etc.
? Ensure proper version control to verify that test engineering changes are properly implemented in mass production. Contribute to the technical study and decision making on engineering change during mass production stage.
? Drive continuous improvement activity, such as production efficiency improvement, yield improvement, test time reduction and process optimization.
? Performing other tasks as directed or needed.
Success in the role:
? You work closely with Product development team to ensure DFT(Design for testability) been well implemented and reviewed in design process.
? You are recognized as a key member to deliver MFG test software in MFG test development process.
? You have the deep trust of all company partners and that of your Operations team members both from a technical competency point of view and from the ability to make things happen.
? You are working closely with CM engineering team, suppliers, product development team and local test engineering team to ensure test solutions are well designed, fabricated, installed and maintained.
? You are proactively research and identify opportunities to continue improve the MFG test efficiencies, yield.
? You have developed MFG test software/solutions that are modularized, platform complied, easy to maintain, high yield.
? You are extending your knowledge and experience to develop software tools(data analyzing, reporting etc.) that can help other team members to do their job more efficiently.
What it Takes
? 5 years above work experience in develop MFG test solutions for electronic products.
? Good knowledge in functional test area, eg, usage for different test instruments and communication protocol, experience to development test software with Labview/Teststand.
? Familiar with Linux based embedded system Hardware/Software architecture, understanding of Linux based diagnostics.
? Good Knowledge in circuit theory including analog, digital and WIFI.
? Ability to perform DFT analysis for a given product.
? Fluent English.
