Senior Specialist Sourcing & Merchandising

Fasten Beauty Creators develops beautiful packaging for Cosmetics and Personal Care and uses its own network of top manufacturers to produce it. We are located in China, Guangzhou, and Holland, Amsterdam, with a sales office in the UK. Fasten is a small and international company. We love to work, but also join forces to have fun: “work hard, play hard”. We have moved into a new brand new design office in Panyu at the edge of town with beautiful views and nice scenery, opposite from line 2 metro exit Huijiang.

What will you do?
You’ll join a small, hard-working and great team that is dedicated to find the best deals for our made-to-order requests. We work for global accounts like L'Oreal, The Bodyshop and P&G, and also for many small and medium sized companies. Together with our teams from Sales, Quality, Design and Logistics you’ll work out the best tailor-made solution for every customer’s wishes, after which it’s your responsibility that your vendors deliver the agreed quality, service and lead-time against the set pricing.

Your tasks will be:
Control projects from inquiry to delivery.
Source the best vendor for every project
First step auditing of vendors
Get the right samples approved: collect, evaluate and submit
Analyse item costs, based on market and your own calculations
Prepare data for the teams at Sales, Quality Control & Logistics
Introduce new items and production techniques to our Sales & Design teams

Who are you?
Our ideal candidate has experience in a sales role at a plastics injection factory, or has been working as a merchandiser or project manager in a trading company or brand, so that you know the production process “from the inside”. You have good knowledge of injection molding (like Injection Stretch Blowmolding (ISBM) and/or Extrusion Blowmolding (EBM)) and experience with Cosmetics/Personal Care Packaging. You have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years relevant experience. Excel and ERP-software hold few secrets for you.

You know how to get a fair price against favorable conditions and are tough and charming at the same time. You thrive under the pressure of deadlines (that you always meet), have a strong eye for detail and take full responsibility for your projects. You like to work in an international environment and speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English well. Of course, you’re a real team player, a caring colleague with a helping hand.

You live maximum 45 minutes travelling away from our office, or are prepared to move to this distance. Our office is located on Juda Creative Park, Shibei Industrial Rd, Dashi Street, in Panyu District, Guangzhou
