Senior Security Engineer
Location: Shanghai, Shenzhen, or Beijing

What You’ll Do
1, Work closely with the technology and business teams in China daily to incorporate security into decisions and designs.
2, Perform risk assessments of existing vendors and solutions, and participate in architecture/design reviews for new technology solutions to provide security-focused inputs into the design.
3, Provide expert security engineering recommendations in partnership with the technology and business teams to identify, prioritize, and in some cases, implement changes that will reduce the level of security risk at Sonos.
4, Participate in the security team on-call rotation, to include resolving issues with centralized logging/alerting solutions, vulnerability management and reporting systems, etc.
5, Build strong working relationships with the China business and technology teams by attending regular staff meetings and other critical discussions to become a trusted advisor.
6, Assist in the selection, implementation, integration, and use of security solutions such as attack detection and vulnerability management systems across various parts of the business, with a focus on automation and API-based integration.
7, Perform risk/security assessments across other parts of Sonos
8, Stay current on modern threats and attack patterns/methods and provide recommendations on the best ways for Sonos to mitigate the threats/attacks.
Skills You’ll Need
1, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
2, 8 years of experience in IT or Engineering role with minimum of 4 years in Security
3, Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
4, Expert level knowledge in Windows Server, with experience working in at least one other operating system such as OS X, Linux, etc.
5, Strong, well-rounded background in host, network and application security.
6, Strong expertise in automation, scripting, and integration in a security context
7, Have created automated solutions for auditing compliance with security standards
8, Familiarity with PCI-DSS and modern methods to protect credit card data
9, Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
10, Must be able to regularly attend meetings during normal business hours in China
11, Prefer an individual who speaks a Chinese language fluently
12, Will need to make regular trips to Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen
