Responsibilities
1. Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
2. Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
3. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc.
4. Coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
5. Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
6. Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.
7. May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation.
8. Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff.
9. May back up those who perform specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, SEC document filing, or sales commission calculation reviews.
Requirements
1. Experience on processing Australia and New Zealand payroll.
2. Be familiar with the payroll related regulations of Australia and New Zealand. The legislative knowledge of other Asian countries would be a plus.
3. Be familiar with Australia’s Payforce, EMO and ezLabor systems.
4. With high standard of interpersonal skills in both of English and Mandarin.
5. Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field
6. Superior interpersonal and communication skill in English , both written and spoken
