Design tests and create test procedures to address moderately complex issues. Develop test plans. Design and set up test fixtures.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) with assistance.
Apply appropriate standard and specialized testing methods at various stages of the design and development process.
Proficient in the use of standard and specialized engineering tools. Participate in the development of new engineering tools.
Make decisions to maintain test progress.
Perform moderate to complex root cause analysis with support from Engineering.
May participate in meetings with Engineering.
Complete test projects in a timely manner. Assist with process improvement and automation projects.
Perform complex data analysis. Document results in test reports and presentations. May lead one or more test technicians.
Responsibilities:
Receives assignments as objectives, priorities and deadlines.
Receives Intermittent Supervision on day-to-day work and General Supervision on new assignments.
Plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices.
Works on a full range of problems of moderate scope that require selection and/or modification of existing procedures and processes
Work is reviewed for technical adequacy.
Requirements:
Proficient with computers and experienced with spreadsheet and word processing programs.
Firmware testing; automation experience, programming experience
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of industry-specific software and equipment.
Full knowledge of lab equipment.
Full knowledge of job related policies and procedures, developing knowledge of general corporate policies and directions.
Competently performs the full range of standard duties and performs some advanced duties.
