职位描述：
机械结构或项目管理相关专业；
四年以上机械设计经验，熟悉3D建模软件；
良好的沟通协调能力、解决问题能力及项目（工厂）管理能力；
英语读写能力良好，口语会简单的对话。

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position participates in all phases of new product development from concept, through design, test and introduction into manufacturing. This position is primarily responsible for designing and developing electronic products. This includes providing complete engineering oversight of new product introduction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Owns the mechanical engineering of new product development in the China Development Center and mainly focus on legacy product upgrade and improvement.
? Work with engineering manager to communicate with Category manager to understand customer’s requirements with Customer-Centered Designing thinking.
? Designs complex injection molded parts, extruded aluminum parts, sheet metal parts, machined metal parts,
? Designs module level products to be waterproof and highly cost effective as required by specification.
? Manages multiple project timelines ensuring key milestones are met successfully.
? Works with assigned Electrical Engineer(s) to optimize compatibility of electrical and mechanical portions of product designs.
? Works closely with program manager throughout new product development process (NPD) to ensure NPD is adhered to.
? Assures completion of mechanical documentation, as required.
? Selects materials and finishes with the use of technical data sheets considering the end use environment.
? Coordinates with contract manufacturer to obtain part cost quote, feasibility to build and continues through part approval.
? Leads DFX & design reviews and peer mechanical design reviews for products under development, submits for approval, and follows-up on corrective actions needed.
? Conducts mold layout reviews on new products before tooling release.
? Owns mechanical design portion of return reduction efforts includes the troubleshooting.
? Owns mechanical design portion of cost reduction efforts.
? Supports transition of completed products to manufacturing.
? Supports new products introduction.
? Manages contracted engineering consultants as needed.
? Carries out other duties as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS:
? Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
? Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
? Is self-starting, self-motivated, and a goal oriented team member.
? Has ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines.
? Possesses both the ability to work independently and work with a team to accomplish tasks.
? Minimum 4 -year technical degree from an accredited institution Masters Degree preferred.
? Proficient user of Solidworks 3D modeling software and experience with PDM, FEA, and other analysis software as well as prototype technologies such as SLA, SLS, Silicone Molds and Soft Tooling.
? Working knowledge of using Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge and common hand tools.
? Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design, know well the motion portion.
? Can sit for a majority of the workday with minimal walking, bending, and standing required.
? Has excellent computer skills including knowledge of common Office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
? Is willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Complete assigned projects according to project timelines.
? Complete all project documentation according NPD.
? Complete assigned projects within budget
? Provides advice to Electrical Engineer on mold development and other mechanically relevant issues.
? Executes the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by designing with the goal of patentable designs.

RELATIONSHIPS:
? Reports directly to the Engineering Manager of China Engineering Team.
? Reports indirectly to Product Development Manager of China Engineering Team.
? Maintains an effective working relationship with Technicians and Engineers within department.
? Maintains an effective working relationship with other departments and team members when participating in Continuous Improvement teams.
