Senior Specialist Windows Server

Corporate Division IT
Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

• Ensure Windows server based IT system and related Basic Applications located in BMW Brilliance Automotive running stable and reliable with BMW AG IT system within less cost, coordinate world-wide service delivery to BMW Brilliance Automotive with good customer satisfaction with least cost, make IT access and data are secure with good availability, optimized process at most effectiveness

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Windows server platform daily operation and relevant projects within BMW Brilliance Automotive


• Plan, Design and Implement as well as support potential solutions for Windows Servers based upon customer driven requirements


• Ensure that BMW Group standards are deployed and maintained in this specific technology


• Use the relevant IT standard processes as defined within QMP (Quality management process)


• Specify, procure and manage external support contracts for Windows server and related software


• Negotiate Service Level Agreements with business department, define the requirements with suppliers and steer the suppliers


• Deliver stable systems through the use of predictive growth and maintenance techniques


• Provide operational support on a daily basis, e.g. server monitoring


• Identify and resolve problems through use of technical tools and application of skills and experience. (Second level support)


• Deliver problem resolution and document problems and status via management tool


• Conduct customer project and service reviews meetings


• Deliver training courses as required

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Technology or similar qualification although experience and proven delivery capability is just as relevant


• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 with Power Shell, and High Availability architecture design


• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Management, Exchange 2007/2013 and SCOM 2012


• Knowledge of VMware Esxi, Citrix Xenserver and other Server Virtualization/Cloud Computing products


• Project management skills


• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) management process skills


• Understanding of the principles of information management as a management technique to enable organizational development


• Fluent English speaking & writing


• Leadership and planning skills


• Good communication skills and user expectation management, Superior communication and relationship building skills


• Analytical mind, problem solver


• Flexible response to rapidly changing demands


• Ability to function well under extreme pressure


• Lead and influence other team members positively


• Experience with IT Infrastructure, 4-6 Years


• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows server system with high availability (MS Cluster, VERITAS Storage Foundation and etc.) design, implementation, administration and maintenance, 4-6 Years


• Experience with Microsoft Basic Applications (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Management, Exchange, SCOM and etc.) design, implementation, administration and maintenance, 4-6 Years


• Experience with Server Virtualization (VMware Esxi, Citrix Xenserver and etc.) design, administration and maintenance, 1-3 Years


• Experience with Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS and etc.) design, administration and maintenance, 1-3 Years


• Experience with IT service management, 1-3 Years


• Experience in JV company, 1-3 Years
