Job Responsibilities:
Development of mid to high complex functional blocks and modules for Car Audio and Consumer Systems from basic idea up to readiness for final product integration. Covered product lines are ( but not limited to )
  in automotive area: Audio Amplifier & Booster, ECUs for Sound Synthesis and Sound Cancellation；
  in consumer area: Headphones, portable Loudspeakers, Microphone arrays, Loudspeaker arrays, Home entertainment Systems
Focus Battery based power Design: HW analog design covering Battery base Power Supply, tracking power supply. Battery charging circuits. Run time and Lifetime extension concept. Power consumption reduction design concept. Battery component scouting covering benchmarking / assessment of battery technology / technology roadmap and Negotiation / alignment with battery suppliers Base know how in digital design is mandatory. ？
Generating detailed Hardware blockdiagram of functionblock(s), perform schematic design, HW Block Integration in target application under consideration of Harman guidelines, best bom cost, low power consumption, thermal design constraints and environmental conditions ？
Define and document Layout placement requirements ？
Design verification Hardware of above named systems and their optimization ？
Documentation of above named systems, verification results and generation of integration guidelines to enable and secure take over in final customer products by product development organization ？
Performing design reviews for each development stage about the work packages schematic, layout and HW-Verification to secure maturity ？
Support the System Design team in concept creation and BOM cost assessment ？
Perform and maintain insertion of BOM of function block in HARMAN calculation tool ？
Perform Hand over and training activities to Product Development team ？
Global cooperation with all other LSA CoC departments, Product Development division as Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing during the development process ？
Realization and / or Assisting in the realization of white papers for new technologies. ？
Part time support or perform component scouting for defined key technology. Focus next generation ？
Join on site HW bring up workshops on several sites ？
Development method according and within an agile process environment
 
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or appropriate graduation) ？
5+ years experience in the Hardware development and HW verification & measurement of Wireless designs, interfaces and networks including antennas. Experience in the areas of portable devices will be of advantage ？
Be capable to design power supplies for Battery and non battery systems. So from low power up to high power ？
Be capable to understand a HW system for investigate areas for power consumption reduction to achieve maximum run time of system in battery mode
Understand the chemistry / behavior of a battery ( temperature, load / unload cycles, long term behavior ) and the shapes and feasibility of shapes for batteries ？
Be capable to discuss / negotiate on technical level with the battery suppliers ？
Common base experience the development of and digital circuits and system is mandatory ？
High experience in working with ECAD design tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE, …) as well as Microsoft applications ？
High knowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area, especially for EMC ？
High knowledge about the requirements in the consumer market ？
Structured and goal- and result-orientated working style ？
Ability of team work ？
Good knowledge in spoken and written English ？
Ability to work under pressure
