This position can be on board after Chinese new year.
Roles/Responsibilities:
? Manages a group of quality personnel
? Review and assess quality team capabilities, competencies, needs, and headcount to support the business
? Collaborate with the Regions (Switzerland, Italy, U.S.A., and Asia operations) on quality needs and cost objectives.
? Approach quality from an integrated approach starting from customer requirements, design, manufacturing processes, cost, etc.. all the way to the final customers.
? Establish a Culture of Quality
? Develop and enhance the Supplier Qualification, Evaluation, and Assessment processes
? Collaborate with Sourcing to develop and implement Supplier Performance and Development processes
? Collaborate with Sourcing, Project Management, and Regions to improve supplier quality capabilities, competencies, processes, tools, training, and execution
? Develop and implement Supplier Quality Scorecard (KPI) and use as a trigger for demanding quality actions from suppliers
? Prioritization of supplier qualification needs in alignment to the strategic and project demands
? Execution of supplier qualification audits, results analysis and communication to internal stakeholders. Manage the supplier audit report issuing and communication to the internal stakeholders
? Tracking of supplier’s action plans oriented to the qualification audit results
? Plan and work with the regions, engineering, and business team, on the definition of suppliers development priorities
? Identification of supplier’s gaps and establishment of development plans with focus on management system, quality, delivery, waste reduction, design capabilities, product and manufacture controls.
? Focus on root cause identification and long-term preventive actions
? Collaborate and inform Sourcing, Project Management, and Regions on the supplier’s qualification and capabilities development
? Coordination of 30, 60, 90 days supplier’s development plans execution
? Support the regions on the tracking of daily quality issues
? On-site visits to the supplier’s facilities for the tracking of corrective and preventive actions implementation
? Build relationships with Regional Leaders, Senior Management, and cross-functional partners and communicate when/where needed
? Work with Sourcing, Project Management, and Regions to ensure the right suppliers are selected (processes, capabilities, competencies, cost, quality, compliance, etc…) for the specific projects.
? Work with Sourcing and Project Management groups, and suppliers to drive cost reduction
? Manages the Quality team daily activities and with suppliers to meet project delivery requirements
? Conducts weekly reviews with Quality team to ensure supplier issues are clearly understood, projects are on schedule, and communicates status/issue to Project Management and Regions
? Collaborate with Sourcing and work with suppliers to meet PAC Team compliance requirements such as CSR, RoHS, REACH, CTPAT, Conflict Minerals, Restrictive Materials and others where required by customers
? Conducts meetings as needed with team members. Demonstrates leadership by working through others to resolve issues.
? Establish performance management objectives for self and direct reports, and conduct regular performance reviews.
? Provide mentoring and coaching for career growth.
? Develop and implement new or improve quality processes where necessary and get alignment with Sourcing, Project Management, and Regions
? Other duties deemed necessary to support the Company’s business operations
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
? The candidate must have a strong knowledge of product and process development techniques (APQP/PPAP) and supply chain management and international standards (ISO 9000, ISO TS16949, VDA 6, OHSAS18001, ISO14001, SA8000, QC0800000 IECQ HSPM), preferably through contribution to new product launches
? Familiar with problem solving techniques, root cause identification, 8D, and Corrective Action Report (CAR) processes
? Strong understanding of Process Flow Chart, FMEA, and Control Plans methodology
? The candidate must have extensive quality and project management experience, plus extensive manufacturing knowledge.
? The candidate must be able to interface effectively with supply base and internal process partners. Must have proven communication, negotiation, persuasion and problem solving skills.
? The candidate must have a strong knowledge of operations techniques, and other quality and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma) and work with suppliers and other groups to continuously improving levels of performance.
? The candidate must be fluent in verbal and written English and Mandarin. Fluency in one or more languages/dialects beyond English and Mandarin is highly desired.
? Able to work and communicate across different cultures, diversity, and gender
? The position also requires the ability to communicate across all levels of management effectively. Strong, demonstrated communication and team-building skills are required. Intercultural/International experience is required.
? Understand the Total Cost of Quality (TCQ)
? Understand Problem-solving / risk managements
? Have work with multi-national companies
? Expertise in one or more key manufacturing processes (e.g. assembly, machining, plastic injection molding, electroplating, painting, etc.)
? Proven ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc…
? Proven ability to coach and develop others ?
? Self-motivated and be resourceful
? Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and procedures
? Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs ?
? Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills ?
? Ability to manage upward and downwards
? Have worked with multi-national company (MCN)
? Additionally, the candidate should have a good working knowledge of PC-based text processing, spreadsheet, slides presentation, and project management software
Minimum Education and Experience Required: ?
? The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. A Master Degree in Engineering, an MBA, and /or formal Quality Management certification is a plus.
? Minimum ten (10) years experience in quality, engineering, manufacturing, or process engineering in the luxury-display, related industry, or technical industry
? A minimum of five (5) years experience managing a group of people
Special Job Requirements:
? May required long, varied work hours at times
? Able for international travel to U.S. or Europe
? May require frequent availability and communication during non-standard business hours to communicate with global team members
