Requirements:

• 7 years of related working experience in production or manufacturing industries, working with analog and digital electronics
• Must possess excellent skills in analytical, problem solving and capable of performing tasks independently

Key attitudes: Fact-based, Curiosity to dig out root cause and failure mechanism, self-learning

• Good communication skills in English & Chinese, ability to seamlessly work with cross-functional teams between US & APAC
• Able to travel regionally

For Electrical/Electronic Stream

• Degree/Master Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering or related discipline)
• Understanding the physics of failures on full range of electronic components and determine associated risks
• Knowledge and hands on experience with electrical characterization tools and lab test equipment (oscilloscope, curve tracer, AC/DC sources, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer etc)
• Deep understanding of PC / SoC (System on Chip) architecture of consumer devices, and interaction/interconnects of peripherals, firmware and software of consumer devices

For Material/Mechanical Stream

• Degree/Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Materials Science or related discipline)
• Understanding the structure and property of materials, material analysis and characterization including surface analysis
• Knowledge of polymer/metal mechanical properties.
• Knowledge of Mechanical stack up tolerance analysis, GD&T, Jig and fixture design
• Knowledge and hands on experience with laboratory equipment including optical microscopy, fractography, FTIR, SEM/EDX, TMA, DMA , hardness testing and metallographic techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the failure analysis process for all failures discovered during reliability testing
• Analyze designs, reliability or yield failures down to a root cause, involving state-of-the-art analytical tools, processing acquired data and information sets to arrive at acceptable conclusion regarding the cause of failure
• Responsible for failure analysis (FA) requests related to new product qualification, process improvement, and customer complaint & measurable
• Develop EFFA procedure, root cause investigation methodology and drive corrective actions for product improvement
• To continually evaluate, develop and implement a new FA solution especially to support new product introduction and new FA equipment feasibility study
• Maintaining and continually improve Reliability & Failure Analysis (RFA) related tests and operation specification documents
• Review current and historical production and quality data, collaborating with various Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality Engineering & Manufacturing teams
