Reports To: Vice President Global Sourcing (Shenzhen-based) with Dotted Line to Senior Director Supply Chain (US-based)

Cheyenne Products Asia is comprised of two Asian office locations, one in Shenzhen, China (CST) and one in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (CVRO).
Cheyenne Products (www.cheyenneproducts.com), headquartered in Rogers, Arkansas is a leading product design, development and supplier of home furnishings (wood & metal chairs/stools, bath storage, lighting, accent furniture etc.) to large scale US market store and .com retailers including Walmart, Target, BBB, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Amazon Marketplace etc. Cheyenne Products also designs, develops, markets and sells commercial décor furnishings to US market based multi-family developers.
Cheyenne Asia is searching for a Supply Chain Director that is energized, self-motivated, and prepared to work in a fast-paced and growth driven environment.
Key Requirements
? Minimum 5 years’ experience managing supply chain related activities (e.g., sourcing, supplier management, planning, forecasts, warehouse inventory, purchase orders, shipping) for the US market with a primary focus on large scale store and .com accounts including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Target, BBB, Lowes, Kohl’s, Home Depot, Amazon Marketplace etc.
? Deep experience working face-to-face with customers and partnering with them to solve problems and/or overcome challenges is a must for success in this role
? Extensive knowledge related to navigating, using and leveraging ERP system supply chain modules
? Outstanding supplier negotiation skills with high level of confidence to interact with factory owners and top managers
? Demonstrated ability to effectively form teams and lead complex projects through to the completion stage
? Strong customer service orientation
? Demonstrates excellent skills in analytical reasoning with a high degree of skill and accuracy working with calculations and numbers
? Four (4) year university degree in supply chain or STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) or business management from a qualified university
? Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese required
? Extensive MS Office skills with a key emphasis on MS Excel and PPT
? Strong inter-personal and communication skills
? Continuous learner
? Possesses keen ability to create, improve, implement and adhere to supply chain standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
? Understands and applies the concept of teamwork with all parties e.g., peers, direct reports, suppliers, customers.
? Comfortable with travel to supplier locations in Asia including China, Vietnam and Malaysia
? Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
? Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
Primary Responsibilities
Replenishment
? Act as a liaison between Cheyenne Products Asia and Cheyenne Products US. Responsibility will include managing the communication and relationships with the supply chain teams of multiple US customers that have offices in Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City. Actively manage customer relationships e.g., WMT GP, Target TSS.
? Effectively lead tactical activities to drive On Shelf Availability and Inventory Productivity (turns)
? This role is highly visible to both Cheyenne and Customers, and will focus on advancing our collaboration and capabilities.
? Use technical expertise to ensure inventory values are in line with company objectives
? Develop associates involved with the activities that drive inventory flow and supply chain
? Primary focus will be on driving sales and profits through innovative replenishment approaches, industry knowledge, and technical expertise to ensure store level in-stocks and inventories are in line with the company’s objectives
? Responsible for ensuring collaboration with key customer Direct Import inventory and order flow
? Participate in aggressively managing new item (first order) and feature execution
? Participate in forecasting process
? Manage and drive continuous improvement of all relevant supplier KPI’s e.g., lead times, on-time delivery (OTD), capacity
Shipping
? Assure planned execution of all shipping activities e.g., documents accuracy and timeliness, container space utilization rates etc.
? Oversee product consolidation to lower transportation costs e.g., LCL, supplier to supplier transfers etc.
General
? Pull large amounts of data, compile reports and make presentations to individuals from all levels of both organizations.
? Continually identify and assist to execute projects that lead to supply chain related operating cost reductions.
o Leverage forecasting, smooth demand and reduce product costs for going items. Idea is that with a forecast, suppliers can better plan purchasing and reduce their input costs.
o Identify and monitor strategic “lean” projects with key suppliers. Examples includes WIP reduction, in-process raw materials & parts handling, manufacturing process layout etc.
? Actively participate in metric/KPI development and metric/KPI reporting packages
? Ad-hoc reporting and analysis on an as needed basis
Sourcing
? Play active role in creating and implementing supplier scorecard system. Also drive recurring supplier scorecard reviews with all strategic suppliers on a quarterly basis.
? Participate in new supplier evaluations with a focus on supply chain related supplier qualifications.
