Responsibilities:
You will be part of a team of engineers based in various locations within Asia. You will be working closely with the manufacturing factory teams and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of new sub systems and products through the prototype phase and into sustained production at our partnered manufacturers based in China. The mission is to deliver cost effective products to our customers on time, at the right cost and at the highest quality.
Key Activities
? Maintain product manufacturing strategy in alignment with business needs.
? Provide the interface to the Xerox design and MRT teams on all engineering issues, escalating hardware, software and firmware problems when necessary for design support.
? Monitor and support prototype and production builds managing bonded lot release processes in support of Xerox quality and delivery requirements.
? Provide field quality escalation support to the factory, review corrective actions and fix implementations.
? Manage change management (ECO/ECN), change tryout and change implementation ensuring timely and quality cut in at the product factories and for spare parts.
? Review quality plans in conjunction with the supplier.
Requirements:
? Possess an Engineering Degree in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering
? Minimum 5 -10 years of relevant working experience working in engineering and manufacturing environments.
? Working knowledge of copier and printer systems would be of a distinct advantage with experience and ability to work at system, module and component levels
? In depth knowledge of the processes utilized in the manufacture and test of electrical/electronic products, assemblies and sub-systems (ie, controllers) at contract manufacturers.
? DLSS / DfLSS green belt certified and proven track record in the use of its associated tools (preferred, training can be provided if necessary)
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience of working at all levels.
? Ability to use a wide range of measurement and diagnostic tools
? Ability to run complex DoE and MSA studies when dealing with problem solving and when qualifying measurement systems.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken).
? Ability to handle conflict and facilitate resolution.
? Willing to travel to Xerox facilities worldwide as well as to other suppliers in Asia.
? Able to work well independently and within a team.
Preferred Skills:
Manufacturing Concepts: SPC, DFA, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Mfg, DoE, MSA
Computer/IT: MS Office (strong with Excel), statistical software (Minitab etc)
Languages: English, Mandarin, Cantonese
