System Support Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a member of the MSCIS Systems team, you’ll provide second level technical support for Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) applications. You will interact with Level 1 and Level 3 support engineers and customers to ensure the incidents are resolved within SLA and we deliver quality service that meet our customer requirements. You’ll play a key role for supporting day to day operations in production environment.

Qualification:

To qualify for this position, you must possess strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills. You must function well in a fast-paced collaborative environment and be able to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to complex production environment scenarios to ensure high availability. You will be able to demonstrate your strong troubleshooting and analytical skills through critical escalation support.

Requirements:

· A minimum of 3 to 5 years of database-related experience in a production environment

· Good database related skills in SQL Server 2005/2008, including OLAP, SSIS, and SSRS

· SQL Administration including data analysis

· T-SQL stored procedure development, analysis, and troubleshooting

· Good understanding of Microsoft Windows operating system

· 3 + years Production Support experience managing enterprise application

· Willing to take shift work in a 24x7 environment

· Thorough understanding of service management foundations such as ITIL or MOF

· Ability to analyze live-site issues quickly and possess a thorough understanding of client/server architectures and high-availability clustered environments

· Excellent English communication capability – speaking and technical writing

· Outstanding customer service/focus skills

· Demonstrated ability in supporting multi-tiered, leading edge technology at an enterprise scale.

· You must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a critical thinker, with good oral and written communication skills.

· Familiarity with HTML, CSS, ASP, ASP.NET, VBScript, JavaScript.

· BizTalk and IIS knowledge is a plus

· A BS/MS in computer science, information systems, and engineering and/or equivalent industry experience required.
