Job Responsibilities

Manage and direct a team of Buyers and supervisors, and oversee the procurement of direct production materials for the Finisar factory located in Malaysia.
? Lead a team of purchasing staff working with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted materials availability as well as on- time delivery for operation’s needs.
? Coordinate with factory planning and operations to maintain inventories as well as receipts at planned levels.
? Review purchase orders and ensure all orders are with proper justification and complete information before approving.
? Monitor and make sure all the purchase orders are tracked closely and supplier delivery dates are provided and updated into Oracle on time.
? Perform supplier capacity analysis and work with Commodity and SDE to review supplier’s capacity periodically to ensure sufficient capacity is planned in time to meet the anticipated demand.
? Participate in weekly material receipt meeting and ensure materials flow in as scheduled and perform rescheduling with suppliers when necessary.
? Prepare, complete and release weekly material status report for management’s consumption and make sure critical material issue is escalated timely.
? Conduct performance review with team members regularly; identify areas for improvement and drive for improvement.
? Plan, lead, and execute the quarterly PI Counts at the Finisar Subcons as per requirements from Finance and external auditors.

Skills/Qualifications

? Be able to create a positive working environment thru the team and ability to coach the Team to tackle any supply and material issues.
? Responsible, reliable, with sense of urgency, and attitude of “no excuse”.
? Must have experience and track record of building and managing a strong team in procurement in an international environment.
? A strong background in Purchasing Systems (Oracle ERP preferred) as well as Purchasing policies and procedures.
? Having knowledge in PCB/ PCBA, electronics components, mechanical and Optics would be preferred.
? Solid knowledge of commercial terms and conditions including incoterms, VMI, warranty etc.
? Excellent English in both verbal and written; Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
? Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 7 years’ experience in Purchasing and/ or Supply Chain Management including min 2 years in a position of supervising. 举报 分享
