Responsibilities:
? Manage the sourcing of product throughout the region.
? Facilitate production commitments with suppliers, ensuring objectives of product quality, delivery and price are met or exceeded.
? Know and understand suppliers/factories and their capabilities, capacity and performance.
? Facilitate price negotiations and cost engineering opportunities based on an in-depth understanding of product and components.
? Contribute and align with the category operations, global Sourcing & Cross Functional teams on sourcing/executional strategy and direction.
? Partner with cross functional teams including Quality, Responsible Sourcing and Compliance to ensure factory-base is fully compliant with all Walmart requirements


? Support the supplier matrix for the region. Align suppliers by product type and identify supplier partners.
? Measure supplier performance, capability and capacity in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions. Keep information up to date, meeting with them on a regular basis to address concerns
? Maintain a firm knowledge of trade, political and social issues.
? Maintain a close relationship with suppliers/ factories, communicating changes in policy or process in a timely manner.
? Ensure order placements are made with right factories. Identify production issues upfront and involve Quality Assurance teams to resolve.
? Manage the seasonal quotation process and component costing (CCS). Effectively negotiate product and price, and determine creative alternatives to achieve objectives.
? Keep abreast of the current pre-production and production issues in order to make informed sourcing decisions.
? Identify and resolve issues with suppliers for pricing, shipping,
? Participate in price negotiation with Category team and Suppliers.
? Collaborate cross functionally with the various business partners and suppliers to understand the various business needs and priorities and develop optimal solutions to support.
? Work closely with the Category Team on sourcing and costing exercises providing data and input in a timely manner
? Work closely with Suppliers to ensure the timely settlement of outstanding claims/DRR.
? Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Qualifications:
? Regional or global experience in sourcing specific product categories.
? Able to manage within a global sourcing organization and build ownership and teamwork.
? A technical understanding of specification, components, component suppliers and construction. Good production knowledge.
? Excellent problem solving skills. Creatively able to develop alternative solutions to achieve product and business objectives.
? In-depth knowledge of relevant suppliers and factories. Able to understand and differentiate between various manufacturers.
? Detailed knowledge and use of component costing.
? Able to manage large amounts of data. Establish efficient processes in order to make sound decisions.
? Able to work under pressure. Takes ownership. Manage multiple projects well. Able to prioritize. Manage change well.
? Team player who always works respectfully with associates and suppliers from different cultures.
? Driven and motivated. Inspires others. High expectations of self and others. Results oriented. High sense of urgency.
? Excellent communication skills: clear, direct and open approach.
? Proficient PC skills including MS office
