Position Summary
This position is located in Shenzhen China and will report to the Strategic Sourcing Manager(Far East) and/or the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing. The Sourcing Engineer will use engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to specific-use products. The position will work in all stages of product development, manufacture, testing and implementation of Plano Synergy Asian sourcing strategy for specified Brands. Specific responsibilities include development of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, integration with business units, identification of cost saving opportunities, and overall management of supplier relationships, continually improving suppliers at competitive costs, NPD and NIF project management and timely delivery performance.

Responsibility
? Developing a project specification with overseas & domestic colleagues, often including those from other operational, sales and engineering disciplines.
? Prepare the quotation documents such as RFQ, tooling list.
? Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs.
? Initiate and implement contracts with suppliers by working with internal organizations on such matters as minimums, lead times, quality rejections, price changes, sample approvals, and other purchasing matters to ensure overhead costs are minimized and maximum value is received.
? Making sure a product can be made on budget, reliable and perform consistently in specified operating environments.
? Working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering specialism.
? Factory visits to work with engineers on both design and manufacturing initiatives.
? Weekly or bi-weekly video conference engineering meetings with overseas head office (may require to work late due to time difference).
? Work with Brand, Product Managers, Engineering and Suppliers for NPD and NIF projects and provide technical support.
? Work closely with technical and quality team to determinate the right level of expectations on projects.
? Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years' mechanical design experience of mechanical components and electrical products, experiences with outdoor products are preferable 举报 分享
