职位描述：
Location: Dongguan or Fujian
Travel: if based in Dongguan, will need to travel to Fujian around 2-3 times every month with around 2-3 days for each trip. May need to go to Thailand occasionally
 
Factories: 4 in Fujian and 1 in Thailand
Product: Footwear and hardgoods
Reporting manager: Sr Merchandiser
Responsibilities:
 
？ Manage the daily China based sourcing and development activities for hardgoods and footwear product: lasts, patterns, materials, colorways, blueprints, mold openings, materials, CBD’s, pre-costing and costing,
 
？ Develop materials library and strategic relationships with local and global raw materials suppliers
 
？ Develop relationships with OEM Manufacturers, managers
 
？ Effective, daily coordination with the merchandising team in China.
 
？ Openly and frequently communicate all relevant issues to colleagues in both the US Division and in Asia offices
 
？ Effectively manage and review factory performance in China.
 
？ Manage the product development process and on time sample requirements and offer appropriate feedback when necessary.
 
？ Negotiate product costing and offer appropriate feedback to the US Division.
 
？ Identify potential production problems through commercialization processes and co-ordinate both with the US Division and factories in order to determine which course of action is warranted on fit, function, quality and on time delivery transitioning from sample phase to successful mass production
 
？ Oversee and manage production delivery dates with both factories and customers and negotiate delivery dates with factories.
 
？ Maintain effective and professional working relationships with the US Division, Asia offices and the factories.
 
？ Manage and direct the specific quality standard with factories, to ensure the Speedo specific quality standards are being maintained and improved both in-process and in final inspection
 
？ Actively assist in managing the business standards process.
 
？ Assist in monitoring, follow up and reporting of the goggle production status and CAPs at QBAS, Thailand factory.
 
 
Requirement
? minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience working with major international brands in the product development area
? need to be in the sports or outdoor category
? able to communicate with overseas designers and product developers
? good knowledge in hardgoods and footwear construction, materials, components
? self-starting, professional, able to follow through development process on his/her own
? University education with relevant training and discipline
？ Technical knowledge and experience of hardgoods and footwear / development / commercialization /production.
？ Knowledge of testing and standards.
？ Knowledge of development timelines and SOP’s
？ Knowledge of commercialization timelines and SOP’s
？ Experience with China based OEM manufacturers and all levels of raw materials vendors
？ Self-disciplined with excellent organization skills.
？ Fully conversant with process control / QA/ QC and final inspection procedures
