Power Line Communication Sr. Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive technical support for Tier 1 customers for Narrow Band Power Line communication (PLC) product. Helping customers during the design phase and later on during pilots and first deployments.
• Develop reference designs and application notes for power line communication products defined by the product marketing team.
• Define and submit innovative technical ideas to be applied on related customer and application (New customer needs, project road map, IP's need, technical support to be deployed).
• Coordinate customer support activities with the local Field Application engineers for Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers.

Mandatory Skills

• Narrow Band Power Line communication technologies, mainly OFDM solutions (PRIME, G3, Meters&More , etc... ). PLC Networks functionalities and typical issues.
• ARM Cortex architectures (Cortex-M3, Cortex-4, etc...) and 8051. Hardware architecture and C/C++ programming skills.
• Smart Meters hardware architectures, power supplies and metrology engines. Standard protocols stack (DLMS, IEC61334, etc...).

Preferred Skills

§ CAD tools for hardware design Altium and IAR, KEIL C compilers.

§ Digital Signal Processing knowledge

§ Fluent in English

Education

Bachelors or Masters in Telecommunications or Electronics.

Experience

4-6 years of design or application engineer.
