PURPOSE:

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for the effective translation of the customer’s packaging “intent” to the supplier and providing technical support to insure that the supplier is able to manufacture the customer’s intent effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

？ Assists with the preflight of all inbound packaging development specifications using native application and PDF tools. Works with packaging development to understand and clarify the intent of the customer.
？ Communicates manufacturing specifications to suppliers that will ensure quality manufacturing the first time.
？ Checks digital design files from design team, ensuring no design errors and files are completed. Refine design parameters for manufacturing.
？ Send final pdf or dxf digital files to project team, who is responsible to communicate with suppliers for manufacturing.
？ Manages the finished manufacturing files that are at suppliers for implementation.
？ Provides on-site technical support to suppliers and checks manufacturing output.
？ Responsible for sample’s color approval, first article approval, and ensuring that production meets the customer’s intent. Prepares first article report and send first article for customer approval.
？ Ensures quality and accurate production and samples meet customer requirements.
？ Based on final approved packaging, develop and hand off technical standards and parameters to QA, suppliers and customers for mass production.
？ Provide technical support to QA on improvement activities of on-going packaging manufacturing.
？ Provide technical support to project team and Asia sales on new business opportunities. Responsible for analysis of packaging materials and manufacturing technology. Makes comparison analysis of PACCESS packaging and others’ packaging.
？ Supports the general improvement activities of the global technical team. Works locally with customer’s as needed to help define their intent and supports local sales and project management. Provides feedback on supplier performance about their ability to manufacture the customer’s intent.
？ Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

SCOPE

Work is conducted with limited supervision. Frequent internal and external contacts on specific projects or subjects. Resolves conflict and identifies solutions. Applies creative problem solving techniques to situations. Problems may be unusual and require application of experience, knowledge, and situation to determine the best solution for all parties. Incumbents at this level have full responsibility of moderately complex projects. Errors in work or failure to achieve results cause significant expenditures of resources and delays that may have an affect outside the department. Issues of significant risk or complexity are escalated.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

？ Four-year degree that is related to Graphic Arts and or Packaging such as Packaging Engineering, Structural Design, Graphic Design, Print Management, Paper, or other related field.
？ Minimum 3 years experience in packaging or graphic arts related production with the ability to read and change design files.
？ Functional (able to open files, make changes, or produce final manufacturing files) in major packaging development software: CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
？ Ability to “preflight” finished manufacturing files and understand the manufacturing intent of those files
？ Operational and theoretical knowledge of print methods: offset lithography, flexography, silk screen, gravure;
？ Thorough understanding of the manufacturing and finishing of fiber based packaging – folding carton, corrugated packaging – die cutting, laminating, coatings and other finishing processes.
？ Must possess a thorough understanding of fiber based packaging materials and transportation testing – ISTA testing, ring crush, ECT, burst/Mullen, BCT, etc.
？ Strong communication verbal and written skills in both English and local language.
？ Good understanding of business practices and environment pertaining to packaging suppliers in China.
？ Ability to compiles data into reports for various parties that have direct impact on organizational decisions.
？ Must be able to travel to customer locations

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:

？ Functional knowledge of major packaging development software: Artios CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, In-design
？ Advanced knowledge of printing and packaging manufacturing process, pre-press and post printing process.
？ Thorough understanding of color management and working experience in color measuring devices

？ 参与B坑、E坑瓦楞彩盒、C坑瓦楞外箱、手工盒、彩卡（带撕裂线、拉链条）的图案设计、结构设计
？ 检查图案设计、结构设计是否需要完善，适不适合生产
分析客户提供的样版是什么材料，什么工艺。
？ 针对新项目，制定质量关键控制点和质量标准。
？ 针对新项目，去印刷机台看色，看后加工质量，熟悉胶印、水印、吸塑油、水油、击凸、模切压痕、烫金、丝印UV等工艺。
