Project Manager for Mechanical Parts
Responsibilities:
1. Measure supplier performance, capability and capacity in order to make appropriate vendor management decisions. Keep information up to date. Manage supplier performance.
2. Manage the seasonal quotation process and component costing. Effectively negotiate product and price, and determine creative alternatives to achieve objectives.
3. Responsible for product development, sampling, product & vendor sourcing, lab test arrangement etc.
4. Follow up orders with vendors, customers and internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
5. Edit/change the mechanical drawing and explain to the suppliers for making the prototypes to the mass production.
6. Perform other duties assigned by management.
7. Manager and supervise two inspectors working at the factories to make sure the parts being produced at the suppliers are as per the standard.
Requirement:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with hand on experience on mechanical design software.
2) Minimum t years related experience in mechanical parts design and production related environment for North America or EU. Priority will be given to the candidate with product management in bathroom and kitchen products. Candidate with less than 5 years of experience please do not apply.
3) Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently as required.
4) Familiar with the different kind of materials related to the bathroom and kitchen products.
5) Comfortable in managing couple of inspectors to make sure the parts being produced and shipped out are as per the agreed standard.
6) Good communication and teamwork skills with both Chinese factory staff and foreign managers and customers
7) Excellent (spoken and written) English is absolutely needed
8) Strong work ethic, willingness to work hard to achieve goals on time
9) Extremely Proactive. Must have.
