Main Responsibilities:
As Wireless Field Test engineer you will be responsible for the field test design, execution, monitoring and analysis of results. The main deliverables of the position are test reports, root cause analysis, statistically supported conclusions and final recommendations. The position interacts daily with customers, field sales representatives, field test technicians, project/program leaders and upper management.
Challenge yourself by being on the leading edge of new product development and evaluation; you will have the opportunity to improve the customer experience and value proposition by directly impacting the final product offering.
? Develop field test plans. Determine the type of data to collect and how to collect it effectively.
? Conduct tests of products and systems under actual field conditions.
? Analyze data. Use statistical analysis tools. Present data to team members in a format that is easy to interpret.
? Develop knowledge and understanding of products/systems/services, customers and customer business needs. Root cause analysis of wireless issues found during the testing.
? Assist device vendors and network operators with wireless issues troubleshooting, when necessary.
? Develop good working relationships and communications with project key stakeholders and customer personnel.
? Write interim and final reports and hold meaningful meetings with project teams.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
? 3+ years of professional work experience
? Experience working in 2G/3G/LTE/LTE-A technologies and good understanding of 3GPP specifications. You should be able to deep dive to root cause the issues found during the testing.
? Experience working with statistical analysis software
? Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Project).
? Ability to travel up to 70% both domestically and internationally
? Strong communication skills to work with key stake holders
? Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
? Prior experience in customer enablement or support
? Self-motivated and desire to take the initiative to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
