Advanced Specialist Production Preparation

Tasks

- Along with the buildup of the automotive R&D at BBA in Shenyang our vehicle engineering needs a suitable IT support.

- Joining the IT maintenance team you are responsible on reliable IT solutions for production preparation.

- As a maintenance manager a number of sophisticated tasks are waiting for you

- Responsible for customizing and implementation of the special applications BBA needs for the vehicle development

- Budget responsible for the further development of these applications

- Support the R&D Engineering (i.e. planning/preparing of trainings etc.)

- In this context a close cooperation with the R&D engineering at BBA as well as with the IT department at BMW is strictly mandatory

- Explicitly you will manage the essential IT link between the Engineering and the Production divisions

- You will be accountable for the applications that are necessary to plan the production processes during the car development process to provide the necessary input to ensure the product can be product in time, quality and budget

- The mentioned applications are used to setup the routings, simulation of production and value flows, creation of production layouts and evaluation of the ergonomic issues of the manually carried out processes (incl. the related data management)

Key Responsibilities

- Accountable to accomplish the aims of IT projects according to time and budget

- Conduct IT project teams (incl. involved suppliers)

- Plan of the content and the schedule of the SW releases in cooperation with the IT department of BMW in Germany

- Develop, improve and implement of methods and processes together with the engineering departments

Qualifications

- University degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable qualification

- Excellent knowledge in Information Technologies (Client/Server, Databases, SW Development with Java or .net, SW Engineering, Web technologies etc.)

- Very good English skills in written and spookiness (preferably basic German skills)

- Familiar with the production preparation part of product development processes at automotive industries

- Experience in production and logistical processes of the automotive industry

- Analytical problem solving skills, assertiveness and confident attitude

- Team-work and communication skills

- Willingness to travel

- Experience as a project leader for the implementation of complex IT applications in close cooperation with internal and external partners, 4-6 years

- Experience in R&D Processes at automotive industries, 1-3 years

- Practical experience as a maintenance manager with budget responsibility, 1-3 years

- Experience in production and R&D processes as well as in applications like ProcessSimulate, ProcessDesigner, Microstation etc, 1-3 years
