Senior Specialist Production Quality Monitoring Reporting

Employment – full time

Tasks

Provide significant information on quality issues in engine production and analyze its cause to ensure quick and adequate response by all relevant partners and management

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare significant information and statistics about current quality issues and long-term developments in engine assembly and crankshaft manufacturing (e.g. failure rate, rework, costs, etc.) to provide a clear picture of the production quality

- Establish and administrate the Quality Reporting System for the engine production

- Liaise with quality, planning and production departments, collect and provide information and ensure that all partners and management are supplied with the significant data and facts to respond quickly and adequately to all quality issues

- Support and monitor the quality problem resolution process and give status reports to ensure that all problem resolution activities are completed in a proactive and systematic approach and problem rectification is fully sustainable

- Develop and enhance methods, tools and solutions to avoid and detect faults

Qualifications

- Master degree / graduated in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing

- Knowledge of assembly, machining and test processes and engine technology

- Knowledge of high volume manufacturing preferably within the automotive (engine) industry

- Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues using systematic problem resolution techniques

- Fundamental understanding of engineering principles (e.g. measurement, manufacturing, quality, etc.)

- Highly developed communication skills in a multi-cultural working environment, Competence to motivate and co-ordinate people and mobilize resources to achieve desired results

- Skills with analyzing and reporting, with high level of personal commitment and motivation

- Skills with quality management

- Proficient English, German would be an advantage

- Background in high volume automotive industries, 7-10 years

- Experience with engine assembly and/or crankshaft manufacturing, 4-6 years

- Several years experience in systematic analyzing and resolving technical issues, 4-6 years
