Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Resident Engineer is to work closely with customer’s different functions such as production, quality, purchasing and engineering to ensure successful usage of Montupet products and to help customers develop trust in Montupet’s product and service.

Duties and responsibilities:
To maintain and update an accurate report regarding the lines, which have Montupet products,
To work with customers on problem diagnosing and solving on actual product problems,
To work with customer’s line efficiency and product quality responsible functions, helping customer to improve line efficiency and product quality, to assist Sales/Project Manager to generate upgrading and replacement project business through aforementioned efforts
Understand Voice of Customer and effectively communicate customer’s requirement to the Sales/Project Manager.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:
The ideal candidate needs to have strong on site service experience of 3 years or more, for cylinder head or similar mechanical power transmission products, preferably in metals or related industries. A mechanical engineering degree from a recognized college is required. Prior technical (familiar with machining) sales experience is desirable.

Skills and abilities:
Proven track record in solving actual product operation and application failure cases for mechanical power transmission products such as cylinder heads.
Solid hands on problem diagnostic, analysis and solving skills and experiences on real production environment;
Strong service attitude to customers, also highly motivated and pro-active style with “Can-do” attitude. Strong team player and hands-on approach, problem solver; solutions finder.
Comfortable working independently on customers site;
Outstanding communication skills and influential skills with different customer functions, e.g. quality, production, engineering and purchasing.
Basic English communication in written and oral;
Ability and interest to travel 80% of the time to customers within his respective service territory.
