General Description:
The solution design manager is of strategic importance to the achievement of Schenker's contract logistics overall objectives and growth targets; the position is mainly to help BD manager for preparing a tailor-made solution to customer.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Liaise with customers to understand customers' supply chain requirements
- Obtain customer's answer to questions and define key assumptions if critical data is not sufficient
- Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business
- Facilitate customer's product flow by identifying most suitable and efficient model
- Play an active role in complex and big projects on solution specialist perspective
- Prepare presentation materials for BD on solution design part, or directly present to customers
- Provide solution review and adjustment to help contract renew and customer retain
- Cooperate with related parties/department or in conjunction with other solution design colleague for appropriate solution, proposals and costing.
- Help BD manager design tailor-made solution to different types of customers (sector focus).
- Work extensively across departmental lines on specific project and development.
- Contact and negotiate with different vendors and resources.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by working proactively with internal business partners to resolve customer issues.
- Build relationship, establish trust and rapport and sustain effective communication with both internal and external business partners.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Language proficiency: Good command in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English listening, speaking, reading, and writing; good understanding in other languages is a plus.
- PC skills: Microsoft Office applications especially on CAD drawing, VISO, PPT , SketchUp and Excel
- Other skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills with senior executives and customers.
- Negotiation skills.
- Consultative selling skills, customer focused, conflict management, good interpersonal skill, efficient & effective planning and organization, strong influencing skills, excellent Analytical skills and effective problem solving skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualifications: A bachelor degree or above in Sales and Marketing, Logistics or related disciplines
- Experience: 5+ years experience for business development or solution design in Logistics industry.
- 5 years experience in Multi-national Logistics Company.
