Job Description:

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will perform supplier qualification audits and on-going supplier process audits at Asian suppliers. The qualification audits will be done to assess new and existing suppliers'capability to manufacture high-quality components for laptop computers and other products. The audits require knowledge of quality practices such as QC inspection and sampling, Incoming QC, document control, Quality Management System, continual improvement and the use of quality tools such as AQL, SPC and Cpk. The on-going process audits will involve setting up recurring supplier audits to ensure quality requirements for the process and product are being met. The SQE will work suppliers and the USA headquarters company to establish zero-defect quality targets and then assist the suppliers through audit scoring, corrective actions and quarterly assessments to continually improve. The SQE will interface regularly with Quality and Product Design Engineers in China, USA and Mexico to establish requirements and support customer quality issues. The SQE will write and publish documents such as audit reports, quarterly assessments and Quality Work Instructions.

Job Qualifications:

1,A passion for producing defect-free products.

2,Team approach to working with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

3,Ability to work independently and be a leader to other team members.

4,Ability to make critical quality decisions about the acceptability of product per the specifications and ensure the supplier is meeting those requirements.

5,Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Engineering using a wide range of quality tools.

6,An Engineering degree in an established Engineering field.

7,Excellent Chinese and good English skills (both spoken and written English). Ability to write and publish reports and documents in English.

8,Knowledge of standard MS Office software. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet (Excel) and/or database software for data analysis is desirable.

9,Ability to travel throughout Asia (approximately 75% travel).
