Job Purpose
To support growth of the Asia-Pacific ("Area") organization and the achievement of the Asia-Pacific Vision and Market Leadership Plan by facilitating effective internal communication and change management.
Responsibilities
Strategy(30%)
Develop and oversee delivery of a comprehensive and coordinated Area-wide internal communication and media relations program that supports Ernst & Young's Market Leadership strategy, enables delivery of coherent account-centric Markets, Service Line and Accounts & Business Development ("ABD") strategic messaging and is integrated with the Asia-Pacific, Global Markets and Global Service Line communication strategies.
Build strategic communications and change programs for business-critical Markets projects such as new client programs.
Consulting and Leadership (40%)
Provide expert communications counsel for the Asia-Pacific Markets Executive including the Markets Leader, four Service Line leaders and ABD leader.
Provide Markets counsel for the Area communications team.
Build, coach and counsel an Asia-Pacific Markets communications team.
Work proactively with the Marketing Director and Client Programs Director to deliver a seamless, efficient internal communication approach for client programs.
Be an active and involved member of the Asia-Pacific and Global Markets internal communications leadership teams.
Build and lead an Asia-Pacific Markets communications network.
Actively represent Area Markets interests on broader projects such as the Ernst & Young Home Page project.
Build deep and broad relationships with stakeholders across the organization such as Marketing, Knowledge and Learning.
Delivery (30%)
Deliver high-quality internal and external messaging for the Deputy AMP / Markets including memos, virtual meetings, speeches and presentations.
Ensure fast, high-quality and consistent deployment of the Asia-Pacific Markets internal communications program and channels such as quarterly leadership reports, Markets Online, face-to-face programs, Partner Connection and newsflashes.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Asia-Pacific Markets internal communications program.
Ensure strong Markets representation in Asia-Pacific, Global and Sub-Area channels-such as Asia-Pacific Connection, Global Service Line newsletters and Sub-Area channels. Oversee the active development and maintenance of Markets echannels including the Global Markets CHS, Ernst & Young Home page, Partner Matters, Markets Online.
Liaise with Media Relations to align internal and external communication plans and strategy.
Ensure the Markets leaders and communications community has a clear understanding of and adheres to communication protocols across the Area.
Work with Area Leads of People, Markets, Quality & Risk Management ("Q&RM") and Area Liaison to ensure delivery of key programs.
Requirements
·Graduate with professional or higher qualification in PR, Internal Communication or Corporate Communication.
·At least 8 years of broad communications experience and a proven track record developing and delivering complex English-language communications programs in a matrix organization.
·Extensive experience in Asia-Pacific region.
·Excellent command of English. Mandarin or other Asian language strongly desirable but not essential.
·Experience developing and managing a team.
·Experience operating with executive leadership teams (such as Sub-Area or Service Line Leadership Team level).
·Working knowledge of Ernst & Young or professional services sector.
·Ability to develop strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders with competing agendas.
