Essential background requirement
1) Bachelors degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field.
2) At least 2 year of product development or related experience
3) Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English: verbal and written
4) Requires good team work, and good people skills with customers and suppliers
Essential experience and professional skill requirement
1) Target 2-6 years diversified engineering experience.
2) Ability to apply academic and other engineering principles in the development of automotive components and utilize math-based tools.
3) Must be able to read prints and solid understanding of 3D modeling/design with demonstrated competency in GD&T.
4) Working knowledge of statistical methods, i.e. APQP, DFSS
5) Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
6) Ability to manage customers, suppliers, etc to achieve program deliverables.
7) Demonstrated successful performance with independent problem solving and presentations.
8) Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
9) Good analytical skills and statistical background is a plus

1. Generally assigned to increasingly complex components
2. Conduct effective communications with NA/EU/Japan counterparts to ensure product knowledge transfer
3. Engages in design and product development of automotive closure systems
4. Coordinates the complete development for the designated products
5. Incorporates customer requirements, regulations and product specifications
6. Analyzes products and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles and tools
7. Writes/compiles engineering content for the following deliverables,
8. Consults and collaborates with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirements in order to create/support robust design methods to eliminate prior campaign failure modes.
9. Conducts effective communications within the project team and the customer, supplier, manufacturing and quality communities
10. Provides both recommendations and support for design solutions to design personnel.
11. Supports CAE activities (hand calculations/first order analysis).
12. Works with senior engineering personnel to support and drive best practices in design specifications
13. Creates, reviews and approves engineering direction and designs to ensure key deliverables are met
14. Reviews, approves, completes, and submits required change notices to ensure design outputs meet design inputs
15. Independently prioritizes the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to Customer requirements and program deliverables. Contributes to the development of project timing.
