Field of work

We are seeking a full-time employee to implement, customize, support and maintain software applications related to machine tools. These applications, developed by international teams at multiple sites, range from real-time industrial control systems to demanding three-dimensional data visualization, embedded in state-of-the-art User interfaces.

Career Path

During an initial training phase, the candidate will be introduced to Gleason’s gear cutting machine tools and their corresponding software applications. To better integrate him in the development organization, he will participate in software projects executed at our overseas plants, providing him with the opportunity to meet his colleagues face to face. After successful settling, he will be based in our Suzhou plant, taking over additional local responsibilities.

Skill description

The ideal candidate is a Junior Engineer or College/University graduate with a bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in computer science or controls engineering. He should have been exposed to machine tools, automation systems or industrial controls – perhaps during internships or vacation jobs. A fundamental understanding of one or more of the following programming languages – C, C++, C#, JavaScript – is a must. Knowledge in PLC/NC programming would be plus. Furthermore, we expect the candidate to be self-motivated and eager to explore new horizons.

Fluent in English in both reading/writing and speaking.
