LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
q Manage the resources in the region, stay on top of any HR developments in the regions and share across great China.
q Monitor turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
q Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
q Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
q Coach and mentor Human Resources staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
q Create and manage succession plans for Human Resources function.
Performance Management:
q Solicit ongoing feedback from JGP management.
q Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
q Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
q Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
q Drive individuals and the staff to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
q Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises.
q Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently in area of responsibility.
Communication:
q Link to regional governmental affairs, legislative developments, etc.
q Provide weekly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information.
q Coordinate across region and use an appropriate business style.
q Establish and maintain positive, business-supportive relationships with labor partners directly and through site leadership
FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Strategy and Direction:
q Know and understand the JGP strategic directions.
q Define, develop and implement a Human Resources strategy which contributes to the JGP strategic directions.
q Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to Human Resources.
q Provide regular updates to JGP Management staff on the execution of the strategy.
Cost Management:
q Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
q Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
q Provide feedback to peers (BUMs, WCMs, Functional Managers (FMs) on cost and cost trends.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
q Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's preferred;
q At least 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
q Human Resources Management Certificate and/or PHR or SPHR desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
q Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
q Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
q Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
q Ability to tailor advanced quality tools training to all levels of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
q Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
q Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
q Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
q Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
q The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
q Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
q Be accessible to production floor and office staff and to use required office equipment.
q Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
