Position: Legal Specialist
Supervisor’s Job Title: Senior Counsel

Overview
 
This position is primarily responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial contracts relating to the day-to-day activities of the company as well as the related plants. The incumbent will also need to maintain the contract management system, ensure that contracts are processed and reviewed by the appropriate persons and functions, and maintain the contracts files. In addition, the incumbent will have exposures to compliance matters, such as compliance training, EICC, REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral etc.


Key Responsibilities
? Contract drafting/review and workflow
Draft/review commercial contracts and manage the contract review work flow by interfacing with other functions, including but not limited to product management, operations, procurement, quality, sales, marketing, engineering, finance, trade compliance, and real estate to ensure the content of the contract has been reviewed by other applicable functions and has obtained the required approvals. Provide the clean version of the contract to the review requester after obtaining different function’s comments. Advise relevant functions when contracts are due for renewal or expiration.
? Contract process
Monitor usage of the Contract Management System to make sure all the contracts in the system follow the contract review process. Coordinate with the system owner and provide daily support to local users to ensure the system operates smoothly. Track, maintain and establish the file system for all copies of the original executed contracts, and coordinate and respond to inquiries regarding the archived contracts.
? Compliance process
Work with various functions and local plant colleagues regarding request for EICC, REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral etc. related compliance documents and declarations. Able to conduct compliance trainings.


Requirements and Qualifications
? Graduate from an accredited law program or a law degree is a must.
? That the candidate passed the bar exam in mainland China is a must.
? At least three years of relevant work experience in a law firm or an international corporation (two years of top law firm experience is required).
? Hardworking and diligent at work.
? Strong legal sense and sophisticated logical thinking.
? Can independently draft and review commercial contracts and documents.
? Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Chinese and English required. Additional language skill is a plus.
? Excellent communication skills.
