Position Overview
The system architect is a pivotal role in Sierra Wireless Shenzhen Engineering team. You will overlook product development at system architectural level, identify technical weakness in our design, integration and testing process, and proactively take initiatives drive quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
? Oversee product development process, act as a technical chair in areas of your expertise, including but not limited to:
o Review and identify system functional / non-functional requirements
o Create or review HW/SW design ensure all system level considerations are taken into account
o Review product validation test cases and test results
o Review HW/SW implementations
o Identify weakness in product design and drive corrective actions
? Gate keep quality of product development deliverables
? Collaborate between project teams ensure cross projects design/implementation consistency
? Create lesson learnt funnel between project teams ensure improvements are systematically applied to new design
? Feature prototyping or pilot project implementation.
? Provide technical support to system engineering team on pre-sales & post-sales activity
? Align with global teams on system architecture and interface consistency

Requirements
? Master or PhD degree in Engineering
? 10+ years’ experience on wireless communication system development preferred in M2M embedded module or mobile phone firmware development, with minimum 3 years working at system architect level
? Systematic and logical thinking
? Excellent technical documentation skills
? System architectural level expertise in at least 3 of the following areas:
o Embedded Linux
o Real-time Embedded software and device drivers development (PCIe, USB, UART, GPIO, I2C or Audio, etc.)
o Wireless standards (3GPP, 3GPP2, GNSS, WIFI, etc.)
o Data services (TCP/IP, QoS, etc.)
o Device management (OMA-DM, LWM2M, etc.)
o Memory management systems, file systems, and memory protection algorithms
o Security in embedded system
? Strong communication skills. Fluent verbal and written English is essential.
? Project management experience is a plus
? Experience working on automotive telematics products is a strong plus. 举报 分享
