Sr. Technical Supply Manager

Senior Technical Supplier Manager

Location: Suzhou, China

Major responsibilities

1) Partner with Sourcing Manager to execute the sourcing strategy for commodities in related categories. Responsible for contracts compliance management with suppliers.

2) The TSM will team up cross-functional team, such as engineering, NPI, SQE, factory management team… to ensure product delivery/quality from E2E.

3) Responsible for all facets of operations at the supplier factory. Monitor and report supplier factory performance. Supplier performance will be tracked, reported and managed by the TSM. Formal and informal review procedures will be developed to provide feedback to suppliers and ensure that supplier performance issues are quickly addressed.

4) Measure, track & report supply chain performance within each spend category. TSM will identify sources of data for required performance metrics, create a process to collect the data, and champion the actual collection efforts. The TSM will conduct and support the supplier business review in region.

5) Support Supplier Development and Qualifications in Region.

The TSM will team up cross-functional teams to monitor and track down all the assigned commodity qualification until closure and ramp up in time for the demand.

6) Assure Continuity of Supply and projected Excess Management, if any.

The TSM will fully manage materials supply status for their owned commodity from project MP till EOL. Tie up with Tier One materials management team and Redmond category PM & planning team closely to assure the Continuity Of Supply and ensure non-surprised 0 excess, if any, when project is EOL.

7) Support to resolve qualification/spec alignment/ramp up issue to get commodity on board in timely in order to have smooth ramp up. Capacity and resource management to ensure production meets ramp plan.

8) Establish Optimal process for each step of the production process. Operations Excellence Strategy & Management (via process and operations improvements).

The successful candidate should have significant experience and/or expertise in many of the following areas:

Ability to interact with Sr. management (internal and external)

Supplier Factory/Operations Management

Program/project Management

Manufacturing Materials Management

High volume consumer electronics manufacturing

Broad understanding of the hardware manufacturing industry, business and legal intricacies

Experience and knowledge in factory operations (end to end), and experience in PCB component and Box Build will be a strong plus

Well rounded skill set (Engineering, Supply Chain, Compliance, product knowledge, finance, people management)

Negotiation skills and the ability to participate in the closure of complex manufacturing problems

• Professional experiences in the “Electronics” or “Electronic Mechanical” or “Mechanical” industry desired.

• Professional experiences in Project management, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management of Electronics, Electronics Mechanical, and Mechanical Parts.

• CPM or CPSM certifications. (As +)

• 6-Sigma certifications. (As +)

• Superior Project/Timeline (Consumer Electronics Integrated Project Management) adherence experiences.

• Manufacturing thru-put and capacity analysis skillset.

Education/Other Requirements

• Advanced engineering degrees or equivalent experiences.

• Must be an OPERATIONS/ENGINEERING/PROCESS PROFESSIONAL with strong Project Management & Supply Chain Management acumen skills.
