Responsibilities
? Develop and debug modem firmware;
? Develop customer specific features
? Lead and coordinate trouble shooting activities within Firmware R&D, coordinate with customer engineer team, other R&D teams (SDK, host driver) to provide high standard quality support tor key Sierra Wireless customers
Requirements
? BSEE/CS is mandatory, MS is preferable.
? At least three years’ work experience in embedded software development for mobile devices, in the areas of device driver, or wireless protocols.
? Experience and knowledge in one or several of the following areas will be a plus:
o Cellular wireless protocols
o TCP/IP stack
o Embedded device driver development
o USB driver development
o Linux driver development
o Development experience on Qualcomm platforms
? Good skills in software programming (C/C++).Familiar with ARM architecture.
? Hands on experience in embedded software development/debugging method and tools
? Proactive working attitude. Being able to work independently and as a good team player.
? Good communication skills. Fluent verbal and written English is an essential.
