MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand customer and market trend to provide strategy suggestion for business development to company.
2. Develop and Maintain high level customer relationship and communication to support strategic direction.
3. Guide team about working method, procedure, self-improvement, enterprise culture and communication.
4. Resource management to balance work load and priority.
5. Create and maintain healthy working environment and keep team stability.
6. Define clear roles & responsibilities for each team members to meet department goals.
7. Build engineering competency to achieve technical autonomy in region.
8. Create positive team environments to motivate team members, and maintain strong relationship with other functions in the company.
9. Coach supervisors on management skills, and set appropriate development plan for each team member based on personal potential and interests with training plan and career plan.
10. Guide team to develop new business to achieve company budget.
11. Assist planning and managing the engineering budget.
12. Select, train, develop and evaluate new employees.
13. Maintain safety and good housekeeping.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Guide team to achieve all engineering milestones and deliverables per global engineering procedures.
2. Guide team to support flawless launch per Customer Program Implementation (CPI) and RASIC and internal procedures.
3. Ensure on time delivery on product engineering activities per CPI process requirements for program launch, including drawing release, prototype samples etc.
4. Develop local engineering competency to achieve full engineering autonomy for Category 2 and 3 projects.
5. Lead problem solving activities with cross function team for engineering issues from plant, supplier & customer.
6. Support other functions on continuous improvement activities on cost, quality etc.
7. Follow internal policies and procedures, ensure executions, and propose improvement whenever required.
8. Support new business pursuits with technical proposals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Degree:
1.Bachelor degree or above on Engineering.
Working Experience:
1. 5 years or above engineering management role, automotive industry experience preferred;
2. Multiple product line experience;
3. Understanding of Manufacturing processes preferred;
4. Knowledge/experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering;
5. Project Management experience preferred.
Other Skills:
1. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English; can present and negotiate in English; quickly grasp English information from others, and can coach others on English communication techniques;
2. 6 Sigma certificate preferred;
3. Driving License.
