Principal Accountabilities:

Responsible for the complete sourcing from authorized sources of Greater China's Not-in-Catalog (NIC) products in line with company's compliance, quality, delivery, service and cost/margin expectations. On completion of sourcing activity, handover to central purchasing in SG to effect the transaction.

Selection and evaluation of manufacturer-authorized NIC vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements of the Premier Farnell Group.

Manage supplier base to achieve competitive cash, cost, quality and delivery performance.

Participate in the RFQ process and negotiate on pricing and supply of goods.

Solicit and evaluate vendor proposals/quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques.

Work with the local sales team to help meet targets, and with regional functional teams for processes and bring in quick closures, which are related to sourcing.

Act as a key bridge for to support the NIC function in areas such as vendor communications concerning purchase order acknowledgement, reconciliation, cancellation, SKU maintenance, expediting etc performed by the purchasing team.

Initiate necessary actions to assure best value is received, customer delivery requirements met, and address any manufacturing problems at supplier facility

Skills

Diploma holder or equivalent purchasing training degree is required.

Knowledge of the sourcing field, practices and working with suppliers

Min 2 years experience in indirect procurement / Purchasing / Sourcing for electronic component distribution.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication & facilitation skills

Proven ability to influence others, drive change/results & accomplish goals through collaborative effort.

Multitasking, detailed oriented and task prioritization.

Customer focused

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills & Strong MS office Skills
