Ekamant was founded in 1928 and is one of the world leading producers of coated abrasives for the wood industry. With more than 80 years in the business, it is also one of the oldest - as well as one of the most innovative, with a history of introducing groundbreaking coating abrasive technology. The products can be found all over the global wood industry from large manufacturing plants to small wood working shops from China to the US. The main production plant and head office is located in the small town of Markaryd, in the southern Swedish province of Småland.

Ekamant abrasives are sold in more than 50 countries all over the world through local partners and distributors. The company has their own sales organizations and conversion plants in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Indonesia, China and South Africa and they employ around 430 people world-wide.

Ekamant has been present in China for 10 years through distributors and they opened up their own subsidiary with head office in Shenzhen in 2005. Ekamant now have offices in Tianjin, Jiaxing and Chengdu and employ around 60 persons. The operations in China are sales and converting.


THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Ekamant wants to strengthen their sales organization at the China head office in Shenzhen and is now looking for a Sales Manager who can successfully develop new business in the electronic and automotive industries. As a Sales Manager at Ekamant you will be responsible for expanding the market for Ekamant's products and will help to take the company to the next level. You will build long-term relationships with local customers and distributors and you will be based in the head office in Shenzhen. You will be seeking opportunities in the whole of China and frequent travelling is therefore required. You will be the key person within the whole sales process, from identifying potential customers, seeing opportunities and establishing long-term relationships, to making sales contracts, monitoring the delivery process and following up on existing customers. Along with the development of new business you will also be responsible for building and leading a sales team and will be in charge of planning, organizing, executing targets and developing the team. You will also collaborate with the other teams within the company to help Ekamant reach its long term goals.


EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS

As a Sales Manager for Ekamant you are hard-working, have a strong drive and can easily spot business opportunities. You are social, have excellent leadership skills and you believe that team work is essential for the success of the company. You are disciplined, result-driven and self-motivated and have the ability to deal with people at all levels. You have at least five years experience in technical sales of high-quality consumable goods such as paint, adhesives, tools or other products supplied to automotive body repair shops, electronic industry, or other industries. Sales experience from multinational consumer goods such as food or medicine is also favorable.

You preferably have a technical degree in engineering or industrial business. Experience from working for a foreign owned company is required and you have a good understanding of European business culture. You are fluent in both Mandarin and English and know the Chinese market well.
