Our client is one of the biggest electronic components manufactures in the world. The main products are film capacitors, power factor correction capacitors, leaded resistors, energy resistors, strap and block resistors, ICL sensors and NTC sensors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Development
In charge of developing new alternative materials for new applications regarding heat, mechanical requirements and electrical stresses. Work to miniaturize components, develop / propose new materials to improve quality, reduce scraps and costs.
2. Approval of new materials and suppliers
In charge of elaborating relative documentation: Drawing, TDR, PR, etc.) for new materials and parts. Coordinate the samples manufacturing and trial runs for approval of new materials and suppliers.
3. Rationalization
In charge of testing alternative materials and suppliers targeting cost reduction.
4. Technological reference
In charge of participating in new developments started in other FILM factories, analyze and rank competitors’ products, provide detailed specifications, features and properties of materials, search and keep records and papers about basic materials, application, failure analysis techniques and procedures.
5. Interfaces
In charge of interacting with: SQM, Customer Service, Purchase Dept., Production in actions to reduce scraps related materials. Support other departments in training and in continuous improvement activities. Provide technical support to Sourcing, related to new supplier development and approval. .Join audits with suppliers.
6. Ensure that the key performance indices in the department are under control, providing reports and planning/implementing actions to cover gaps.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above, majored in Engineering (Electric / Electronic / Mechanical / Material), Chemical, Physics or related sciences.
2. Minimum two year experience with developing materials, like: Epoxy and Polyurethane Resin. Acknowledge of mechanical and physical chemical properties of injected parts with the following raw materials: PBT, PA6, PA66, PC and PP. Metals and metal alloys like: Copper, Zinc, Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, etc. Rubbers like: NBR, FKM and Silicon. Familiar with technical specification and tests as per UL94 and RoHS.
3. Good oral and written English.
4. Good communication skills, to convey ideas and conduct technical discussions in both languages.
5. Usual knowledge of MS-OFFICE, AUTO-CAD, Solid Edge.
6. Familiar with Quality and Development tools (DOE, FMEA, 6 Sigma, and so on).
7. Basic laboratory equipment.
8. Active, self-initiative, mature, independent and of strong character.
